ZENIT Bank is implementing the School UPGRADE project in Almetyevsk with the support of TATNEFT.

Comfort zones, created taking into account the initiatives of the students themselves, have been opened in three educational institutions of Almetyevsk and will allow students to study in a flexible educational environment that contributes to more effective deeper new knowledge acquisition and self-realization.

The facades of school buildings are decorated with murals based on the fairy tales of Gabdulla Tukai and Alexander Pushkin as part of the Year of Native Languages ​​and National Unity in Tatarstan.

The opening ceremony of the comfort zone at school No. 16 was attended by Rustam Mukhamadeyev, Deputy General Director for Social Development of PJSC TATNEFT, Alexander Tishchenko, Management Board Chairman of ZENIT Bank, Elena Burlakova, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Almetyevsk Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan, an initiative group of schoolchildren and leaders educational institutions of the city.

The selection of project participants took place on a competitive basis among 26 schools in Almetyevsk. The expert jury selected the three best concepts developed by the students.

The schoolchildren have spoken about the ideas that have formed the basis of the design solutions at the presentation of the charitable initiative. Functional spaces are equipped with mobile furniture and an area is allocated for performances with an amphitheater and a podium, bean bags, ottomans and capsule chairs are placed for comfortable extracurricular activities, where schoolchildren can retire, a bookcrossing rack and a drawing board are installed. The comfort zone is equipped with additional lighting, an acoustic installation and a projector.

'The children are our future. And TATNEFT shall create everything necessary for their comprehensive development and shall support innovative educational projects. The 'School UPGRADE' will help the schoolchildren and teachers interact in a new format. This is an excellent example of participatory design, which needs to be continued' as Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT, emphasized.
