Tambourah Metals Ltd. announced the completion of the first phase of a detailed air core drilling programme to test for rare earth elements (REE) at the Windidda Prospect. The project is located in the North-East Goldfields of Western Australia. The air-core drilling is testing for saprolite hosted REE's. Historic sampling results identified REE mineralisation as previously reported in historic drill data.

The drilling highlighted broad zones of shallow, flat-laying clay-hosted REE mineralisation1 during a gold exploration programme in 2007. The current air-core program completed 35 holes for a total of 1,500m. The samples will be assayed for a multi-element suite.

The Achilles Project is located approximately 200km north of Laverton in the Gerry Well Greenstone Belt. The prospective geology that hosts the Nickel prospect at Olympia extends for 19km through the TMB Achilles tenure. Historic drilling within Achilles reports elevated nickel with disseminated sulphides.

Achilles contains three stratigraphic packages prospective for hosting Ni-Cu-PGE mineralisation. Sporadic historic RC drilling to the north of Windidda South has reported elevated REE grades, with TREO assay grades in saprolite up to 579ppm. Executive Chairperson Rita Brooks noted "The Achilles district is a known source of green energy metals including Ni-Cu-PGE and REE.

The Windidda South Prospect has been explored for Gold, and the company is looking forward to extending the exploration for Ionic Clay hosted REE. The results of the air core drilling programme will be available in approximately 8 weeks". The historic shallow Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) assay grades in saprolite clays were identified in Gold exploration drilling.

The company engaged Australian Aircore Pty Ltd. to undertake a program of air core drilling designed to test the shallow REE zones. The air core program completed was designed to test the TREO saprolite potential over an area of 2km x 1.6km. The historic drilling reports the saprolite depths to be between 40-80m across the area of the proposed program.

Tambourah completed a total of 35 holes for a total of 1,500m at Windidda South. All samples will be assayed for the full suite of REE, multi-elements and Au at ALS laboratory in Perth.
