ASX Announcement | 28 February 2022
High-Grade Gold Soil Samples at
Tambourah Goldfield
Highlights:
- Significant soil sample results up to 3.05 g/t Au
- 15 samples greater than 50ppb Au
- 10 samples greater than 100ppb Au
- 177 samples provide indicators to extensions of the mineralised zones
- New gold target zones identified
Tambourah Metals Ltd ("Tambourah" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the results of the December 2021 auger soil sampling program at the Tambourah gold project have been received. A total of 259 auger soils samples were collected to test the strike continuity of known mineralisation and to undertake a first pass test of several geophysical anomalies which were identified in the re-processing and re-interpretation of public airborne magnetic data (ASX announcement Jan 24, 2022).
The assay results were interpreted using standard percentile statistics, which shows that there are 29 samples reporting grades greater than the 90th percentile (28ppb). Of the 259 samples collected, 177 showed positive results for the presence of carbonate, which extends the known zone of alteration at Tambourah.
Rita Brooks Executive Chairperson noted "These soil assay results validate the geophysical interpretation at the Tambourah Goldfield. The high tenor of the soil assay results have identified new drill targets located away from the known lines of workings. This further extends exploration opportunities within the goldfield, and we look forward to commencing our proposed drill program. It was good to commence working with the Palyku Group and complete the heritage survey. We would like to thank them for their efforts".
The Tambourah Project covers an area approximately 696 ha comprising five tenements. The historical mining centre follows approximately three km long trend from the Victory historical mine workings in the south to the Kirkpatrick occurrence in the north is prospective for the gold.

Sampling Details
Samples were collected using an auger rig, at a nominal depth of 0.5m from the soil-rock interface (Figure 1). Samples were collected from the bottom of hole and tested using hydrochloric acid for the presence of carbonate alteration. Sample locations were recorded using a handheld GPS and samples were dispatched to ALS for gold analysis by 50g fire assay. ALS is processing the soil samples for multi-element analysis.

Assay Results
All samples were collected from in-situ soils at the soil-rock interface (Figure 2). The samples were collected as first pass samples from within selected parts of the priority 1 and priority 2 geophysical targets. The results extend the known lines of mineralisation associated with the narrow high grade quartz veins which host the historic workings and increases the prospectivity of the geophysical targets. A full table of assay results is included as Appendix 1 with grades in the 90th percentile or above of assay grades highlighted. The gold assay results are part of a larger suite of multi-element assays that TMB are still awaiting on.

Geophysical Summary
The Priority targets (Figure 3) are defined as:
- Priority 1 zone-extendsnorth-south along the full length of the tenement package and includes most of the historic workings. New interpretation extends this prospective zone 4.1km to the south, and below the historic workings.
- Priority 2 zone-includes the Federal Line of workings and consists of six discrete north- south oriented targets zones over the full strike length of the tenure.
- Priority 3 zone- extends north-south along the full length of the tenement package and includes a fundamental crustal structure not previously identified.
