AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC is planning to start construction of its European facility in the fourth quarter of 2024, it said on Tuesday.

At a conference in the Netherlands, TSMC's head of European operations Paul de Bot said work on the facility was on track.

TSMC in August committed 3.5 billion euros ($3.8 billion) to a factory in Germany, its first in Europe.
