Announcement of Organizational and Personnel Changes

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; Chairman and CEO: Hisashi Ietsugu) announced today its decision to implement organizational and personnel changes, effective April 1, 2016, as detailed below.

These organizational changes put in place a structure to further promote business in the hematology, urinalysis and cytoscreening fields.

1. Organizational Changes

2. Reinforcing the Business Promotion Structure in the Hematology Field

   • We will establish the Market Development Department within the Hematology Product Engineering Division to create new clinical value for existing products in the hematology field and by utilizing flow cytometry (FCM)1 technologies.

     
     

3. Reinforcing the Business Promotion Structure in the Urinalysis and Cytoscreening Fields

   • We will establish the Market Development Department within the UB Product Engineering Division to create new clinical value utilizing existing products in the urinalysis field, promote their use in future cervical cancer screening tests and augment clinical value in the cytoscreening field.

   • In accordance with the above, we will combine the UB Product Engineering Division's current Product Development 1 and Product Development 2 departments and establish the Product Development Department.

     
     

     1 Flow cytometry (FCM): Method involving the flow dispersion of minute particles and the use of laser light to optically analyze the minute flows. Used primarily to observe individual cells.
