Silicon Valley Bank, financial partner to the technology, life science, private equity and venture capital industries today announced the appointment of Tom Butterworthas Vice President, Entrepreneur Commercial Banking for Silicon Valley Bank's UK Branch.

Tom has a strong background in banking technology businesses, having most recently worked at Natwest focusing on banking services and debt facilities for a portfolio of 70 technology and media businesses. Prior to that Tom managed a wide range of SMEs in his roles at RBS and RBS Drummond.

Over the course of his career, Tom has worked with many well-known London-based technology businesses, building a deep understanding of the high growth sector.
