HyperSolar, Inc. announced that it has appointed John Stickney to the role of Scientific Advisor to the company as it seeks to scale its hydrogen production technology. John Stickney currently serves at the University of Georgia within the Department of Chemistry, focusing on Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry and Nanoscience practices. Stickney will provide experience and guidance in further developing the synthesis of the high quality semiconductor materials that serve as critical components in the hydrogen production device for absorbing sun light and efficiently converting light energy into charge carriers for the production of hydrogen. This will entail developing chemistries for electrodeposition of Chalcogenide semiconductors on different surfaces, such as metals, metal oxides, and other semiconductors. He will also share strategies for using his UGA developed electrochemical-atomic layer deposition (EC-ALD) technique, a methodology used academically and industrially worldwide for fabricating high quality single crystalline thin film deposits.
SunHydrogen, Inc. is a technology company. The Company is engaged in the development of technologies to make, store, and use green hydrogen across a range of industrial applications. Its core technology SunHydrogen Panel is in development and uses sunlight and any source of water to produce low-cost green hydrogen. Its SunHydrogen Panels produces green hydrogen. Its core technology is a self-contained, nanoparticle-based hydrogen generator that mimics photosynthesis to split water molecules, resulting in hydrogen. Its technology has the capacity to disrupt existing energy economies across a range of sectors including transportation, industry, and shipping where fossil fuels are predominantly used. Its solution Photoelectrosynthetically Active Heterostructures (PAH) nanoparticle is a microscopic machine, composed of multiple layers enabling the solar electrolysis reaction to take place.
