STOCKLAND OFFERS $330,000 IN 2016 COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM, CALLS FOR ENTRY NOW OPEN

Stockland today announced the launch of its Community Grants program for 2016, inviting local groups and organisations to apply for grant funding to help support community facilities, community-based programs and local opportunities.

A pool of over $330,000 in funding is available as part of the Stockland Community grants program for 2016. Local community organisations are encouraged to apply for funding for an individual grant of up $1,000 from the applicable Stockland Retail, Residential or Retirement Living asset in their local government area.

Grants will be assessed against a range of criteria and must demonstrate their contribution to the local community across Stockland's community focus areas of health and wellbeing; education; and community connection.

Michael Rosmarin, Chief Operating Officer at Stockland: "Stockland has a long- standing commitment to working with the community and is proud to be supporting local organisations across the country whose great work, dedication and commitment are an essential part of making any community thrive."

"After the tremendous success of the program over the last two years, we're very pleased to offer this program again to directly support local community groups who make a valuable contribution to the community, helping build vibrant places to live, work, retire, shop and play - now and into the future."

The Stockland Community Grants program has been running successfully for the past two years with over $330,000 in funding having been distributed to 361 community groups. Grants are provided to recognise Australian community groups contribution to their local community and support positive initiatives in the areas of health and wellbeing, education and community connection. Previous recipients have included local rugby clubs, animal shelters, environmental groups, local primary and high schools, rotary clubs and local charities among others.

Stockland's Community Grants program is accepting entries from Monday 1 February until Monday 14 March 2016. Winners will be selected based on a range of criteria relating to Stockland's key community focus areas of: health and wellbeing; education; and community connection. The grant recipients will be announced from mid-May 2016.
