SpaceandPeople strengthens nationwide shopping centre network

SpaceandPeople has signed exclusive agreements with the owners of seven former Intu venues for the management of short-term promotional and retail space.

Exclusive agreements have been signed for Metrocentre (Gateshead), Lakeside (Grays), Braehead (Glasgow), Victoria Shopping Centre (Nottingham), Atria Watford (formerly intu Watford), the rebranded Chapelfield, Chantry Place (Norwich) and The Potteries Centre (Stoke-on-Trent).

Nancy Cullen, CEO of SpaceandPeople says 'We are looking forward to placing exciting and innovative brand experiences and pop-up retail into these centres. Our network of venues has been significantly enhanced by the inclusion of these high profile shopping centres. Along with our exclusive contract for activity in major London stations, this positions us firmly as the market leader in the provision of space for brands and pop-up retailers.'

The recent additions complement SpaceandPeople's existing network of premium shopping centres which includes Meadowhall (Sheffield), St David's (Cardiff), Trinity Leeds and Westgate (Oxford).

This expansion of venues means that SpaceandPeople offers a combined average weekly footfall in excess of 16.6 million within a portfolio of over 75 shopping centres covering major cities throughout the UK in addition to all major UK stations.
