SUPPLEMENTAL ANNOUNCEMENT

IN RELATION TO POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by South Manganese Investment Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 23 April 2021 in relation to the positive profit alert of the Company (the "Announcement"). Our board wishes to further inform shareholders and potential investors of the Company that, based on the preliminary review of the unaudited management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2021 and the information currently available to us, we expect to record a profit attributable to owners of the parent of approximately HK$103 million for the three months ended 31 March 2021.
