An awards breakfast entitled "A Seat at the Table - Celebrating Women and Board Leadership" was held to honor SJI and 16 other New Jersey companies whose board of directors include at least three women.

The centerpiece of the awards breakfast was the inaugural launch of EWNJ and PwC's research report, which provided new statistics on women's board participation and executive leadership at New Jersey's top public companies. The report also noted that 16 percent of executive positions in the 111 New Jersey companies studied are held by women. Two of eight (25 percent) executive seats at SJI are held by women.
