SkiStar AB Reports Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended August 31, 2023

SkiStar AB (publ) reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended August 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was SEK 345.39 million compared to SEK 224.05 million a year ago. Revenue was SEK 345.3 million compared to SEK 226.74 million a year ago. Net loss was SEK 207 million compared to SEK 211.79 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was SEK 2.64 compared to SEK 2.7 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was SEK 4,281.5 million compared to SEK 4,092.25 million a year ago. Revenue was SEK 4,303.59 million compared to SEK 4,117.79 million a year ago. Net income was SEK 402.37 million compared to SEK 666.53 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was SEK 5.13 compared to SEK 8.5 a year ago.
SkiStar AB is a Sweden-based company active in the leisure and recreation industry. It is primarily engaged in the management of mountain ski resorts in Hemsedal and Trysil, in Norway, as well as in Salen, Are and Vemdalen, in Sweden. The Companyâs activities are divided into two business areas: Destinations and Property Development. The Destinations area is responsible for the skiing services, mediation of accommodation, ski school and ski rentals. The Property Development area operates through wholly owned subsidiaries, named Fjallinvest AB and Fjellinvest Norge AS, which manage accommodation properties for hire, own land for development and have a stake in a jointly-owned real estate entities operating at SkiStarâs destinations. Furthermore, the Company is a parent of Salens Hogfjallshotell AB, Tandadalens Fjallhotell Service AB, and Are Invest AB, among others.
