Independence Status of Directors and New Composition of the Board and its Board Committees

Singapore Exchange Limited (the "Company") wishes to announce that with effect from 20 September 2021, Mr Kwa Chong Seng and Mr Kevin Kwok are respectively considered non-independent, solely on account of each of them having completed nine consecutive years of service on the SGX Board.

Following this determination,

1. Dr Beh Swan Gin will be appointed as the Lead Independent Director with effect from 20 September 2021;
2. Mr Yeoh Oon Jin, who is appointed to the Board and the Audit Committee ("AC") with effect from 1 July 2021, will be appointed as AC Chairman with effect from 1 September 2021. Mr Kevin Kwok steps down as Chairman of the AC, but remains a member of the AC;
3. Dr Beh Swan Gin was appointed as a member and Chairman of the Nominating & Governance Committee ("NGC") with effect from 15 June 2021. Mr Kwa stepped down as Chairman of the NGC, but remains a member of the NGC;
4. Mr Lim Chin Hu is appointed as a member and Chairman of the Remuneration & Staff
   Development Committee ("RSDC") with effect from 1 July 2021. Mr Kwa Chong Seng steps down as Chairman of the RSDC, but remains a member of the RSDC; and
5. Mr Yeoh Oon Jin will be appointed as a member of the Risk Management Committee ("RMC") with effect from 1 September 2021.

With these changes, the new composition of the Board and its Board committees will be as follows:

Mr Loh Boon Chye	-	Chief Executive Officer and Non-Independent Director

1 Mr Kwa Chong Seng will be deemed non-independent with effect from 20 September 2021.
