Appointment of COO (Chemical) at TAT Petroleum

The Board of Directors of See Hup Seng Limited (the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ken Chua Seow Yong as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Chemical Division at TAT Petroleum Pte Ltd ("TAT Petroleum"), with effect from 2 January 2014. TAT Petroleum is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
As part of the Group's strategy to enhance the operational focus of its refined petroleum business, Mr Steve Tan Yeok Lim will continue in his role as COO responsible for overseeing TAT Petroleum's Industrial & Wholesale, and Oil Trading Division while Mr Chua will take overall management responsibility for the Chemical Division. The marketing and sales, operational and administrative personnel of the Chemical Division shall report to Mr Chua.
The Group believes this management structure will lead to more effective business planning and management of customer and supplier relationships. Both Mr Tan and Mr Chua report to Mr Ng Keng Sing, the CEO of TAT Petroleum, and will work closely with Mr Ng to seek and pursue opportunities to develop the refined petroleum business.
Mr Chua has extensive experience in the chemical and petroleum industries. He joins the Group from Neste Oil Singapore Pte Ltd where he was APAC Manager (Base Oil BU) from 2011 to 2013. Mr Chua is well versed with TAT Petroleum's business and operations as he was previously business director of its chemical business units from 2004 to 2010. Mr Chua was formerly Asia Pacific business development manager at Total Oil South East Asia Pte Ltd in 1998. He also held managerial positions at ExxonMobil Chemical Asia Pacific Pte Ltd from 1999 to 2003. Mr Chua holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from the National University of Singapore.
