PARIS (Reuters) - French reinsurer Scor said on Tuesday that it would sue rival Covea and its Chief Executive Thierry Derez for announcing it had abandoned merger plans during market hours.
The Covea announcement sent Scor shares down 12 percent, erasing almost all the gains it had made since August.
Scor said it will also take the case to France's AMF financial regulator, saying that Covea did not warn Scor it was preparing a statement.
