COPENHAGEN, May 16 (Reuters) - Norwegian media group Schibsted on Thursday said it has appointed Christian Printzell Halvorsen as its new CEO, replacing Kristin Skogen Lund who announced in February she would step down once a successor had been found.

Schibsted in December made a non-binding agreement worth 6.2 billion crowns ($568 million) to sell its news media operations to its main owner Tinius Trust, splitting the group into two companies.

Halvorsen, currently executive vice president of Schibsted's business area Nordic Marketplaces, will take up his new position after the closing of the divestment of operations to the Tinius Trust, Schibsted said.

The divestment is set to finalised around June 7, the group added. (Reporting by Louise Breusch Rasmussen, editing by Terje Solsvik)
