Sber has designed an ESG transformation course for its corporate clients, with PJSC Tatneft top executive being the first to take the course.

ESG Transformation. Intensive Course has been designed by several expert units of Sber, including SberUniversity, and consists of two parts: an interactive online course followed by a two-day offline intensive course with interactive seminars, case study and adoption sessions.

The course included a panel on the practical solutions facilitating an ESG transformation. Speaking at the session were MOL Group, an integrated international oil and gas company headquartered in Budapest; East Capital, an asset management fund; and VYGON Consulting.

Responsible supply chains, which are increasingly important in the oil and gas sector, were the focus of an online hands-on workshop hosted by the mining company Eurasian Resources Group, a member of the National ESG Alliance established on December 1.

Alexander Vedyakhin, first deputy chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank:

"An ESG transformation is a comprehensive process requiring that all employees get involved, especially top managers. Sber is one of the ESG drivers nationwide and therefore has the experience, tools and expertise, which were translated into the course called ESG Transformation. Intensive Course. We thank Tatneft for their interest in our program and believe that the training will benefit the company's sustainable development in the long run."

Nail Maganov, general director, Tatneft:

"The management of an ESG agenda is not a compliance issue, but rather it unlocks new opportunities for the oil and gas business. We are actively diversifying our portfolio, investing in decarbonization technology, developing industrial partnerships with Russian and foreign vertically integrated oil companies, and putting much effort in stakeholder engagement. We have learnt about the consistent management of E, S and G factors, and this training has also became a platform that enables our team to be on the same page when pursuing our ESG transformation."

The audience highly rated the program (CSI at 9.14, NPS at 73%). This means that they will readily recommend it to their co-workers and are almost completely satisfied with its content.
