Rooster Energy Ltd. reported earnings and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, production volumes averaged 3,127 boepd, up 22% sequentially and 72% from year-ago levels. The Well Services segment utilization averaged 27% in first quarter 2015 compared to 29% in first quarter 2014 as usual winter seasonal weakness was compounded by a weak operating environment resulting from lower commodity prices. Low utilization in external well services business was offset by higher decommissioning revenues from increased activity by the Company related to its turnkey abandonment contracts. Total (BOE) was 281,457 against 163,964 reported a year ago.

For the first quarter of 2015, the company reported operating income of $669,617, loss before income taxes of $1,313,254 and net loss of $918,254 on revenue of $14,473,520 against operating loss of $1,552,612, loss before income taxes of $3,010,159 and net loss of $3,626,159 or $0.01 per basic and diluted share on revenue of $16,707,469 reported for the same period a year ago. The company generated EBITDAX of $3,833,207 against $312,245 reported a year ago.
