As part of its Power Up 2025 strategic plan announced in June 2022, Rexel announced three transactions in January, two acquisitions in North America and the divestment of its Norwegian activities, thereby strengthening its portfolio.

It has acquired Buckles Smith Electric Company in the United States, a player in industrial automation and authorized reseller of Rockwell automation solutions, as well as Lineman's Testing Laboratories in Canada.

Rexel has also signed the sale of its operations in Norway to Kesko, which were less profitable than the Group average and offered less strategic potential. The sale remains subject to the local competition authorities.

The three transactions combined will be accretive for the French electrical distributor from the first year in terms of profitability, earnings and return on capital employed (ROCE).
