Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for December 2011. The Company generated 1.7 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), which was 3% higher than the same month last year, on an increase in capacity of 1% at 2.1 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 77,732 in December 2011, a decrease of 2% from December 2010. Consolidated load factor was 79% in December of 2011 versus 76% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2.5 million passengers during the month, which was 1% higher than the prior year.
