L'Atelier Renault is joining forces with "L'Avenue du
Cinéma" to host an exhibition entitled "Renault aime le
cinéma", between January 27 and February 27, 2012. The
exhibition highlights key moments in the love story between
the world-renowned Avenue des Champs-Elysées and the silver
screen, as well as reflecting Renault's commitment to the
cinema.
Renault loves the cinema
Renault has been present on the Champs-Elysées for more
than 100 years. It was the first automotive brand to open
premises on this avenue, said to be the most beautiful in
the world. Renault loves the cinema in all its forms
and has long supported this activity at a host of festivals
all over the world: Cannes, Deauville, l'Alpe d'Huez,
Marrakech, London, San Sebastian, Valladolid… The list goes
on!
Renault also loans many vehicles for films and TV:
"God Created Woman" with Brigitte Bardot, "A View to a
Kill" (James Bond), "The Visitors", "Rush Hour 3" with
Jackie Chan, "An Affair of State", with André Dussollier…
Here again, the list goes on!
In this context, Renault lent 145 vehicles in 2011.
So it was only natural for Renault to take part in the
first edition of "L' Avenue du Cinéma", organized by the
Champs-Elysées Committee. As part of this event, L'Atelier
Renault is hosting an exhibition entitled "Renault aime le
cinema" (Renault loves the cinema) in its lounge area.
An exhibition with two themes
"Renault aime le cinéma" is an exhibition with two main
themes bringing together Renault, the Champs-Elysées and
the cinema:
- "The cinema and the Champs-Elysées"
This aspect of the exhibition showcases the Champs-Elysées,
a timeless meeting place for the cinema, film stars and the
public, with:
1/ film extracts and previews to be watched from the
comfort of cinema seats,
2/ posters and photos of films made on the Champs-Elysées,
to be admired again, or for the first time.
- "Renault and the cinema"
L'Atelier Renault will be using a wide range of media to
illustrate - in pictures - the brand's commitment to
the cinema and its active product placement policy:
1/ a collection of photos of international stars carried to
the foot of the red carpet by the official fleet of Renault
vehicles at the many festivals supported by the brand,
including Cannes, Deauville and France's César film
awards,
2/ an exclusive feature, preview photos from the film
"Comme des Frères" by Hugo Gélin (Zazi Films/Stone Angels -
release on October 3, 2012) featuring the Renault
Caravelle, to illustrate the products loaned by the brand
for French and international productions.
