Quemchi SA is a Chile-based investment company engaged, through its subsidiary Navarino SA, in the shipping sector. It operates through three segments: Maritime freight transport, Freight and vessel maritime services, and Investments and others. Maritime freight transport is mainly active in the transport of freight containers, as well as bulk transport and cars on a minor scale. Freight and vessel maritime services is involved in port services of loading and unloading, terminal concessions, tug boat services, warehouse services and container dockyard, among others. Investments and others accounts and manages the income and expenses generated by the parent company. As of December 31, 2011, the Company also held minor stakes in such entities as Portuaria Corral SA, Puerto Panul sa, Terminal Puerto Arica SA, Elequip SA, G-Star Capital Inc Holding and LNG Tugs Chile SA, among others.
