Prologue Cloud Services - Brokering and Cloud Management, Application Marketplace, Desktop as a Service.
After more than four years of investment in various advanced R&D projects (Mobithin, CompatibleOne and CloudPort), funded by the French Government (Plan Investissement d'Avenir) and European Union, Prologue is launching, at Cloud Expo Europe 2014, innovative Cloud services providing : Brokerage and Cloud Management, Applications Marketplace and Desktop-as-a-Service.
Today, enterprises are facing the challenge of selecting a specific Cloud that meet their requirements (technical, operational, regulatory), and moreover, be able to run their applications on multiple Clouds, leveraging each Cloud specific features (high performance computing, content delivery,.)
Prologue Use it Cloud Broker (UiC-B) helps enterprises in achieving this customized deployment on multiple Clouds (Public, Private, or a Mix).
This deployment follows a well defined life cycle: from expressing the needs in a Manifest, which will be parsed and transformed into a Provisioning plan, then contracting with the appropriate Clouds, and deploying the Workloads over their corresponding infrastructure. Presently, the following cloud providers are connected to UiC-B: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Windows Azure, and Open Stack Clouds (such as CloudWatt in France). Through our partner Computenext, we are able to reach multiple clouds (35) such as SoftLayer and HP Cloud..
On top of UiC-B, Prologue is announcing a marketplace platform called Use it Cloud Marketplace, UiC-M, that allows enterprises and software vendors to port their applications to the Cloud and operate them as SaaS. Buyers can subscribe and use the SaaS of their choice and pay this usage according to commercial terms defined in UiC-M. A Desktop-as-a-Service is also associated, which facilitates access of a variety of terminals (desktop, mobile) to the applications.
