Prima AFP reported earnings results for the first quarter of fiscal 2013. For the quarter, the company reported income from commissions of $33.65 million against $29.58 million for the same period a year ago. The company's net income and contribution to Credicorp totaled $11.6 million, up 43% with regard to fourth quarter 2012.

This reflects Prima's privileged position as the only entity authorized to capture all new affiliations until the new AFP winner of the latest bid is up and running. Net income in first quarter 2012 was $9.17 million. The company's ROAE reached a very strong 29.6% compared to 21.5% for the same period a year ago.

Operating income was $17.77 million against $14.83 million for the same period a year ago. Net income before translation results was $11.83 million against $9.12 million for the same period a year ago. Net shareholders' equity was negative 14.6% quarter on quarter and negative 11.3% year on year.
