PIMCO High Income Fund Announces Earnings Results for the Fiscal Fourth Quarter and Year Ended March 31, 2012

PIMCO High Income Fund announced earnings results for the fiscal fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2012. For the quarter, net investment income was $26,530,180 or $0.22 per common share compared to net investment income of $34,083,187 or $0.28 per common share for the corresponding period of last year. Net realized and change in unrealized gain was $90,970,210 or $0.74 per common share against net realized and change in unrealized gain of $47,870,752 or $0.41 per common share of prior year period.
For the year, net investment income was $116,574,442 or $0.96 per common share against net investment income of $136,322,268 or $1.13 per common share for the prior year. Net realized and change in unrealized loss was $130,388,499 or $1.05 loss per common share against net realized and change in unrealized gain of $119,896,742 or $1.03 per common share of prior year.
