Prudential Short Duration High Yield Fund, Inc. reported unaudited earnings results for the quarter ended August 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net investment income was $9,261,255 or $0.28 per share against $10,579,341 or $0.32 per share last year. Net realized and unrealized loss was $4,081,308 or $0.12 per share against gain of $7,063,818 or $0.21 per share last year. Net increase in net assets from operations was $5,179,947 or $0.16 per share against $17,643,159 or $0.53 per share last year. Net asset value per share was $16.72 against $16.99 at August 31, 2016.
PGIM High Yield Bond Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The Fund is focused on investing at least 80% of its investable assets in a diversified portfolio of high yield fixed income instruments that are rated below investment grade with varying maturities and other investments, including derivatives with similar economic characteristics. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its investable assets in United States currency denominated and/or foreign currency denominated fixed income instruments issued by foreign issuers. The Fund invests in various industries, which include telecommunications, oil and gas, affiliated mutual fund, commercial services, home builders, healthcare services, chemicals, entertainment, pipelines, electric, software, foods, real estate investment trusts (REITs), mining and computers.
