Warrego Energy Limited announced an upgrade of Reserves and Resources for the West Erregulla gas field, located in EP469 in the northern Perth Basin, WA. The upgrade follows an independent review of the field by Netherland, Sewell & Associates Inc. (NSAI) post the successful drilling of the WE-3 well in the Northern Area of the field. Independent Reserves certifier NSAI have incorporated the excellent petrophysical results of the logs from the successful appraisal drilling at WE-3 into their subsurface modelling and resource estimation within the Kingia Sandstone.

This review has yielded a substantial 41% increase in the quantity of gross 2P sales gas estimated for the field to 422 PJ (211 PJ Warrego share) and a gross 2C Contingent Resource of 30 PJ (15 PJ Warrego share). The upgrade to the West Erregulla Reserves after the drilling of WE-3 has come from a recognised extension of the field's boundary to the north-west which was not previously included in the initial NSAI assessment of the field as at 31 August 20212, and an increase in quality and thickness of the field's Kingia reservoir properties.
