PCM Fund Inc. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net investment income of $4,108,329 or $0.36 per share compared to $4,190,123 or $0.37 per share a year ago. Net realized and change in unrealized gain was $1,305,078 or $0.12 per share compared to net realized and change in unrealized loss of $2,180,402 or $0.20 per share a year ago.
For the year, the company reported net investment income of $12,164,228 or $1.06 per share compared to $12,966,180 or $1.13 per share a year ago. Net realized and change in unrealized gain was $22,062,178 or $1.93 per share compared to net realized and change in unrealized loss of $5,326,260 or $0.47 per share a year ago. Net asset value per share as at December 31, 2012 was $11.35 compared to $9.48 a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $23,154,659.
