NS-OG Energy Solutions (Thailand) Ltd. ('NSET'), a 70-30% joint venture between Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Co., Ltd. ('NSENGI'; Representative Director and President: Shinichi Fujiwara; Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) and Osaka Gas Singapore Pte. Ltd. ('OGS'; CEO: Tetsuji Yoneda), a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. ('OG'; Representative Director and President: Takehiro Honjo; Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka City), completed construction work related to the on-site energy supply project* for the TORAY Group's local subsidiary in Thailand Luckytex (Thailand) Public Company Limited ('LTX') Mill No.2, and the supply of energy to LTX Mill No.2 commenced on December 1. An opening ceremony was held on December 19, with full-scale operation of the installed facilities also begun. NSET has received five cogeneration project orders to date. This is the first commencement of on-site energy supply through the NSET cogeneration project.
