Board of Directors of Oil India Limited in its 417th Meeting held on 21st December, 2011 have declared an Interim Dividend of 250 % i.e Rs. 25/- per share for the financial year 2011-12. Half yearly PAT as on 30.09.2011 is Rs 1988.13 crores and total Dividend payout is approx. Rs 601.14 crore. 4th January, 2012 was the Record Date for the Interim Dividend.


Shri. N. M. Borah, CMD, OIL is handing over Interim dividend 2011-12 cheque to Hon'able Minister, Shri. S. Jaipal Reddy, MOP&NG. Dividend amount Rs. 471.50 crores.


The Company had last year paid an Interim Dividend of Rs. 18/- per share (@180%) and a Final Dividend Rs. 19.50/- per share (@195%) making the total Dividend for the year 2010-11 @ 375%.

Oil India Limited has been present in the India oil and gas exploration and production industry for morethan five decades. The Company is primarily engaged in the exploration, development, production and transportation of crude oil and natural gas onshore in India. The Company also processes the produced natural gas to extract liquefied petroleum gas. Oil India Limited is present internationally through the exploration of crude oil and natural gas in Gabon, Iran, Libya, Egypt, East Timor, Yemen, Nigeria, Sudan and Venezuela. All of the Company's independent proved plus probable oil reserves, as well as a majority of its independent natural gas reserves are located onshore in the Upper Assam basin in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, the Company also has independent natural gas reserves in the Bikaner-Nagaur basin in the state of Rajasthan.
