OD6 Metals nearing maiden resource for Splinter Rock

OD6 Metals Ltd (ASX:OD6) managing director Brett Hazelden gives Proactive a recap on the company’s quarterly highlights. He says the second phase aircore drilling at the Splinter Rock Project, located northeast of Esperance in Western Australia, delivered bumper rare earth element (REE) assay results. Phase three drilling has commenced while a maiden resource estimate for the project is also being finalised.
The Second phase Aircore drilling at Splinter Rock Project, located NE of Esperance in Western Australia, delivered bumper Rare Earth element (REE) assay results. Grades averaged in excess of 1,000 ppm Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO), with extensive clay thickness of between 20 and 80m at consistently high grades.
The company also had a Very high drill success rate, with 74 of the 83 holes returning significant grades and thickness. Furthert to this, the company achieved very high metallurgical recoveries of Magnet Rare Earth Elements (MagREE) utilising a simple hydrochloric acid leach in multiple prospect areas at Splinter Rock
