Nokia announces that it has set a new world record, in partnership with Türk Telekom International, achieving 800 Gbps transmission over 2300 km without regeneration via a C+L-band WDM infrastructure using Nokia's PSE-6s technology.

Further tests demonstrated transmissions of 700 Gbps over 2500 km and 600 Gbps over 4100 km, all close to maximum network capacity.

These advances enable Türk Telekom to scale bandwidth efficiently.

Nokia's PSE-6s improves network sustainability with 40% greater energy efficiency than current solutions, helping to reduce costs and deliver greener operations, the Finnish firm points out.
