ABB Schweiz AG, Baden ("ABB") has published today the final end result of its voluntary public tender offer for all publicly held registered shares of Newave Energy Holding SA ("Newave").

At the end of the additional acceptance period on 17 February 2012, 16.00 CET, in total 1,607,830 registered shares in Newave were tendered to ABB. In addition, on 11 December 2011, ABB had signed individual share purchase agreements with three shareholders in Newave relating to a total of 1,400,101 registered shares in Newave (which have not been completed by the end of the additional acceptance period and are expected to be completed on the same day together with the tender offer). Therefore, including these 1,400,101 registered shares in Newave as well as 99,603 registered shares of Newave held by Newave or its subsidiaries. ABB's participation in Newave amounts to 99.44% of all equity securities (registered shares) and voting rights of Newave at the end of the additional acceptance period.
