Netop, the worldwide leader in classroom management software, announced the release of version 8 of Vision and Vision Pro today.  The first in a series of new features designed to support smart devices, version 8 of Vision and Vision Pro enables teachers to demo from their PC to any web-enabled student device, including iPads, Androids, Chromebooks, Macs, and PCs.

"We're seeing a dramatic increase in the way smart devices are being integrated into everyday instruction, as with iPad classrooms and BYOD environments, "noted Kurt Bager, CEO of Netop.  "With the release of version 8, Netop has leveraged the Vision/Vision Pro technology that so many teachers are already familiar with across multiple student devices. It's a win-win for educators and students."

The new demo feature in version 8 means that educators can now use their Vision or Vision Pro classroom management software solution across all web-enabled smart devices, saving teachers precious time by making it faster and simpler to integrate student devices into classroom instruction.

Students benefit from using current technology for learning, are more focused and engaged during the teacher's demonstration, and retain more information by seeing exactly what the teacher is doing on their device.

The newest version of Vision and Vision Pro comes at a critical time for educators charged with incorporating student devices into instruction.  In a recent survey of over 3,700 teachers, 57% reported that their school would be investing in iPads in the classroom for the following school year.   Additionally, 25% said that screen sharing was their most pressing need when it comes to utilizing student devices during class.  For complete survey results, visit www.netop.com/ipads

Version 8 of Vision and Vision Pro is available at no extra charge to existing customers who have a current Advantage program as of April 23, 2013.  Netop offers affordable campus licensing options for those new to Vision and Vision Pro - a Vision campus license for a school of 2000 students, for example, is $4,499.00 or $2.25 per student.  For more information, click here
