Q2 FY11 Revenue ` 1,257.1 crores, up by 1.9% (Sequential growth)

MphasiS, a leading IT Services Company, today announced financial results for the second quarter ended

30 April 2011. Consolidated revenue for the quarter ended 30 April 2011 was ` 1,257.1 crores ($ 281.5 million), an increase of 1.9% compared to ` 1,233.5 crores ($ 271.0 million) in the previous quarter. In

dollar terms the increase in revenue was 3.9%. Operating and net margins for the quarter ended 30 April

2011 were 16.5% and 17.3% respectively. EPS for the quarter was ` 10.35.

MphasiS’ consolidated revenues grew by 3.0% to ` 1,257.1 crores for the quarter ended 30 April 2011 from ` 1,220.5 crores for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. In dollar terms revenues grew by 4.0% from $ 270.7 million to $ 281.5 million. Operating profit was at ` 206.9 crores ($ 46.3 million) compared to ` 274.8 crores ($ 60.9 million) reported for the same period a year ago.

Cash and cash equivalents increased by ` 78.7 crores during the quarter to reach ` 1,864.2 crores ($ 422 million).

Revenue from Direct channel sequential growth was 8.6% (10.7% in dollar terms). 17 clients in the

Direct channel were added during the quarter.

“Our strategy of growing Direct business is reflected well both in revenue growth and client additions. Emerging market performance especially India business has been exciting” said Ganesh Ayyar, Chief Executive Officer, MphasiS.

The Group added net headcount of 680 during the quarter, growing the headcount to 41,739 as on

30 April 2011.
