Mostotrest PJSC is launching implementation of the capital construction project 'Simferopol Airport Complex Development, Republic of Crimea, Stage 3'.

The Company has been awarded the project as the sole participant in the corresponding tender held by Simferopol International Airport JSC. Mostotrest's bid was found to meet the requirements of the tender documentation and Federal Law 44-FZ.

As part of the project, Mostotrest will build a new paved apron with 8 parking positions for the A-321-200 aircraft type, 3 additional taxiways and other airfield infrastructure, including drainage facilities, electrical systems for aircraft maintenance equipment, power supply and video surveillance systems, control and communication lines. The technical solutions adopted in the project comply with existing Russian environmental, fire safety and other relevant standards. The contract value is RUB3.075 billion (including VAT). Scheduled completion: June 30, 2021.

Taking into account hydrogeological specifics of the construction area, the contract envisions a significant volume of earthworks consisting of ground coat replacement to ensure stability of the new infrastructure in line with design operational loads. Another particularity of the project will be construction during uninterrupted operation of the existing airfield, with no aircraft landing restrictions.

Simferopol Airport is being developed to meet the projected regional air traffic growth. Stage 3 reconstruction will deliver additional aircraft parking and maintenance positions, as well as significantly improve the technical capacity of Runway 1, currently under reconstruction as part of the project Stage 2. The new infrastructure will also increase the airport's capacity to accommodate Class C and D aircraft.
