MetLife AIG ANB Cooperative Insurance Company announced unaudited earnings results for the period of February 2018. For the period, the company reported the percentage of the accumulated losses have exceeded 50% of the company's capital whereby accumulated losses reached to SAR 180,666,733 equivalent to 51.62% of the company's capital SAR 350,000,000. The main causes of the accumulation in losses is attributed to high administrative and general expenses in addition to the unexpected loss that happened during fourth quarter of 2017 in relation to the medical line of business as announced previously on Tadawul. Therefore, the company shall be subject to the procedures and instructions issued by the Capital Market Authority and related to listed companies with accumulated losses reaching 20% or more of their share capital. To rectify the accumulated losses situation, the Board of Directors of the company has already recommended on February 18, 2018 reducing the company's capital by 48.57% to offset SAR 170,000,000 of the accumulated losses.
