Daimler is terminating its 50-50 joint venture with Bosch for the manufacture of electric motors. Bosch is to take over the whole of the joint venture, EM-motive, which was set up in 2011, along with its 340 employees in Stuttgart and Hildesheim. The joint venture was set up to facilitate the manufacture of electric motors in small quantities. Daimler aims to launch its own purely electric brand EQC this year, but has yet to say where it will source the motors.
