Marvell Technology Group Ltd. announced its newest remote control platform reference design, the Marvell ZigBee Remote Control Platform. Based on the ZigBee/RF4CE standard, this solution provides a rich remote control experience that includes voice search and gesture recognition, Internet-based multimedia search and discovery capabilities, support for the latest in cloud gaming, and more. Continuing its dedication to driving the connected lifestyle, Marvell's ZigBee Remote Control Platform incorporates the highly integrated 88MZ100 ZigBee/RF4CE SoC for the smart home and completes Marvell's remote control portfolio supporting both ZigBee/RF4CE and Bluetooth connectivity standards, preferred by set-top box and TV manufacturers respectively.
The new platform represents Marvell's ongoing innovation in helping consumers achieve a completely seamless experience with smart set-top boxes, TVs and other smart devices in the home. From cloud gaming, to controlling home furnishings, to searching, discovering and enjoying multimedia content from providers like YouTube and Netflix, Marvell's remote control platform makes today's exciting new era of smart home experiences more accessible and enjoyable to consumers than ever before.
