Two New Customer-Friendly Online Services Launched

Manulife Life Insurance Company (President & CEO:Gavin Robinson; Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; referred to as "Manulife Japan" hereinafter) announced it has re-vamped its website design allowing for better interphase on mobile devices. The company also launched two new online services for current and potential customers.

Today, one in three users access Manulife Japan's website (www.manulife.co.jp) on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The new site design makes it more convenient for policyholders to check daily unit prices for some of the company's investment insurance products.

Manulife Japan will continue on improving its site's user-experience design and add online services that make it easier and faster for customers to get the information and service that they need. In doing so, the company hopes to empower its customers to lead a fulfilling life now and attain an ideal future, thus upholding its new brand slogan, "Live Today, Pave the Way for Tomorrow."

Here are just some of the improvements made on Manulife Japan's Website:

1. Responsive design makes it easier to access from mobile devices

  • Users can view the contents in a page size and a font size appropriate to each device, including desktop computers and smartphones
  • The new website makes it easier for mobile device users to view unit prices and other data
  • All of the website contents are available for mobile device users

2. New search functions make it easier and faster to find information

  • Four search menus are available: "Search by types of products," "Find an insurance product according to your concerns," "Consult an advisor on insurance products," and "Search by names of distributors/financial institutions"
  • In the "Search by types of products" menu, customers can search by insurance types and also by specific insurance product names.

3. New online services increases user-friendliness

  • Online reservation service to make consultation appointments

By filling in an online form, customers can make appointments with Manulife Japan's PlanRight Advisors

Customers can claim hospitalization, outpatient and/or accident outpatient benefits without medical certificates and other documents, if they meet required conditions. Customers can download necessary documents, and also request online for necessary documents to be mailed.
