To celebrate Chinese New Year, Manchester United will be carrying on the festivities during the February half-term with a range of activities to excite young fans.

With the important Chinese festival taking place on 16 February, there will be plenty going on every weekday until Friday 23 February at the Old Trafford Museum to celebrate the 'Year of the Dog' in 2018.

Inside the Museum, visitors can make their very own Chinese lantern to take away and try their hand at Chinese calligraphy. Staff will also be running object-handling sessions, where you can get hands-on with match-worn kit from Reds legends such as David Beckham, Peter Schmeichel and Rio Ferdinand.

There will also be the opportunity to take a guided tour of The First XI - a choice of artefacts from the Museum's unmissable collection, including a World Cup medal, Union the Goat and a fixture list from 1882 - the oldest item of the lot.

As part of the club's Chinese New Year celebrations, visitors will also be given a special red envelope containing chocolate money to wish them good luck for the year ahead.

All of the activities are included in the cost of admission to the Museum & Stadium Tour at Old Trafford. You can also make it a great value day out for the family during the school holidays by eating in the Red Café, which includes a kids' menu, and visiting the Megastore to pick up your United merchandise.
