On October 12, LS Group's industrial machinery and advanced parts manufacturer LS Mtron (CEO Jae-ho Shin) announced that the company will be participating in the International Agriculture Exhibition 2023 being held at the Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center in Jeollanam-do Province from October 12 until October 22.
The International Agriculture Exhibition 2023 is celebrating its sixth anniversary and this year's exhibition will be held with the theme of 'Agriculture changing the world - Agriculture that protects the well-being of the Earth and people'. There will be 500 institutions and companies from 40 countries participating in the event held at the Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center, and visitors will be able to see not only smart agriculture, but also the future of agriculture and demonstrations of advanced agricultural machinery.
LS Mtron will be unveiling the first commercial autonomous tractor in Korea at this exhibition.Industry experts claim that the autonomous tractor MT7 SmarTrek from LS Mtron will be the product that makes the first big leap forward towards the era of autonomous farming. The autonomous tractor MT7 SmarTrek from LS Mtron is an innovative product that can autonomously drive forward/backward and connect to other agricultural machinery without much input. It can reduce work hours by 17% and increase harvests by 8%, which will improve convenience and precision for the workers while also increasing productivity, thus demonstrating the advantages of autonomous farming technology. LS Mtron has successfully commercialized the first autonomous tractor in Korea, which was once thought to be a technology in a distant future, and is selling it to public institutions, Nonghyup, and other general farmers.
In addition, LS Mtron has unveiled its new premium compact tractor MT2 for people returning to rural areas. The MT2 is a tractor featuring a compact and comfortable design combined with precise technology to aid future farmers in performing efficient and convenient farm work. This product is optimized for working in narrow spaces such as orchards, and even novice operators can easily operate it by driving the tractor forward and backward using the dual pedal system. The tractor is equipped with an imported tier 4 engine with 25HP for power and performance.
