Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. announced that it has appointed Glenton Jelbert, Ph.D., to the new position of Vice President of engineering. Dr. Jelbert will apply his more than 15 years of experience in laboratory research, business development and new product introductions toward advancing the commercialization of Liquidmetal alloy through partner collaboration and customer engagement. This will involve overseeing the company's numerous development projects, including the recently announced next-generation golf clubs based on Liquidmetal alloys.

He will also oversee parts production, ensuring the consistency and capabilities of the company's specialized injection molding machinery, as well as pursue new opportunities that enhance Liquidmetal's extensive IP portfolio. Prior to joining Liquidmetal, Dr. Jelbert was a principal consultant with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), where he advised companies on the interplay and impact of technology and business decisions.
