LET'S GOWEX SA 
By Mons is the second Belgian GOWEX city after its recent agreement to bring the free WiFi to Liege, both located in the Walloon region of the country. GOWEX is currently present in 88 cities worldwide, including New York, Paris, Madrid, Dubai, etc.
Madrid, May 22 2014 -.GOWEX (GOW-MAB, ALGOW-NYSE Alternext, LGWXY-OTC Market), a leading company in creating WiFi Smart Cities (Wireless Smart Cities ®) has just announced it will provide free WiFi access covering the vast majority of the Belgian city of Mons, city of about 100,000 inhabitants within the Walloon region, situated close to the French border. The Smart City project in Mons will be developed over a cycle of different phases.
Mons, an outstanding town for its historical heritage, is additionally the European Capital of Culture 2015 and, over the next year, it will hold hundreds of events to commemorate this preeminence, which will attract thousands of visitors who will enjoy a free Internet access on its streets.
This is our second Smart City project in Belgium, following the announcement on January, 2014, when GOWEX began providing free WiFi services in Liege, and it is one more of the 88 Smart Cities that GOWEX have worldwide.
More than 60 WiFi Smart Zones
The network will offer Free WiFi service in more than 60 WiFi Smart Zones with almost full access on the streets of Mons. The hotspots are distributed throughout the urban furniture, like, for example on the street lamps of the city, but the access will also be allowed in cafes and public buildings. Among the prominent areas with free WiFi coverage there is the City Hall (located within the Grand Place), the Museum of Fine Arts or The Belfry, Unesco World Heritage site.
The city of Mons is mainly residential and tourist; it was an important industrial center until the World War II and, among its highlights, it should be emphasized that the NATO Headquarters of the European Alliance are situated in its hinterland.
Alliance GOWEX - WIN
The alliance between the operator Win and GOWEX in Belgium continues to bring in projects that, beyond offering free WiFi for residents and tourists, will crucially help reduce the costs for the Public Administration of the cities.
