NASSAU (dpa-AFX) - According to preliminary figures, household goods manufacturer Leifheit generated a turnover of around 135 million euros in the first half of the year. In the first half of 2023, it was still 138.1 million euros, the company announced in Nassau. Consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to seven million euros - in the same period in 2023, it had been 4.8 million euros, according to the company.

In the second half of the year, the company expects more pressure from higher container freight rates, it added. Nevertheless, Leifheit raised its earnings forecast. The Board of Management now expects consolidated earnings before interest and taxes of between EUR 11 million and EUR 13 million in 2024.
