The Board of Directors of LeGuide.com met today and confirmed
the appointment of Olivier Sichel as
Chairman and CEO of the company. He is replacing Corinne
Lejbowicz.
Commenting on this appointment, Delphine Grison, director of
LeGuide.com and managing director of the Digital division of
Lagardère Active, after having commended the commitment of
Corinne who led successfully LeGuide.com for six years, said
"the experience and the career of Oliver Sichel in the
digital business makes him the ideal leader to successfully
integrate Ciao and to accelerate, with the company's team and
the support of Lagardère Active, the development of
LeGuide.com - thus consolidating the position of the company
as European leader in its activity."
Olivier Sichel added, "LeGuide.com is a company that has
outstanding growth potential". "I look forward to joining the
company at a time, with the acquisition of Ciao making it the
number one in Europe, it addresses a key turning point in its
international development, and it is backed by a media group

Biography of Olivier Sichel
Olivier Sichel began his career in 1994 at the Ministry of
economy and finance. In 1998, Olivier Sichel joined France
Telecom where he had operational responsibilities. In
September 2000, he became CEO of Alapage.com, a start-up of
the online business of Wanadoo, which he positioned as one of
the leaders in e-business. He was appointed CEO of Wanadoo in
2002. By the time Wanadoo was delisted in April
2004, the company had quadrupled its profitability. Sichel
then took over the fixed-line and internet divisions of
France Telecom. Under his leadership, France Telecom moved
from the 9th to 2nd place
worldwide in ADSL. He oversaw the launch of the Livebox and
the VOIP. In 2006 he joined Sofinnova
Partners, a leading venture capital in France, where he led
numerous investments in digital start-ups in France and
abroad, such as OpenERP, Solutions30, and Mydeco. He was a
board member of Streamezzo, Sprice and blueKiwi. He recently
listed Inside Secure, a leader in NFC technologies, on the
stock market.
Olivier Sichel, 45 years old, graduated from Essec, a French
business school and from ENA, the French administrative
school.
