Lake Resources NL (ASX: LKE OTC: LLKKF) is a lithium developer utilising clean, direct extraction technology for the development of sustainable, high purity lithium products from its flagship Kachi Project, containing a total resource of 4.4 million tonnes LCE, as well as three other lithium brine projects in Argentina.

The projects are in a prime location within the Lithium Triangle alongside all 5 major lithium producers, where 40% of the world's lithium is produced at the lowest cost. Lake owns over 220,000 hectares (550,000 acres) of leases, including one hard rock project.

High quality lithium chloride solution was efficiently produced in mid-2020 from Kachi brine by direct lithium extraction processing (DLE) at Lilac Solutions pilot plant, based in Oakland, California. The solution was converted to high quality, low impurity lithium carbonate (99.97% Li2CO3) by an independent laboratory, Hazen Research. This high quality lithium carbonate is suitable for the lithium battery market (refer ASX announcement 20 October 2020 and 9 January 2020) as a highly attractive product where low impurities are a key factor in determining battery quality. Further, it will enable Lake Resources to be an efficient, responsibly sourced, environmentally friendly and cost competitive supplier of high-purity lithium carbonate.
