PHOENIX (AP) _ Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (KNX) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $142.3 million.

The Phoenix-based company said it had net income of 84 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 94 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 91 cents per share.

The trucking company posted revenue of $1.28 billion in the period, which met Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $410 million, or $2.40 per share. Revenue was reported as $4.67 billion.

Knight-Swift expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.20 to $3.40 per share.

Knight-Swift shares have increased slightly more than 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 22% in the last 12 months.
