William E. Smith, a Securities Lending executive with 20 years of industry experience, has joined JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services as a managing director to head Western Hemisphere new business development for JPMorgan's Securities Lending and Execution Products unit.

Smith will be based in New York and report to Paul Wilson, recently appointed Global Client & Sales Executive of JPMorgan's Securities Lending and Execution Products business.

Smith has more than two decades of business management experience in securities lending, collateral and cash management and capital markets. He has held several key positions in securities lending including managing director at HSBC Bank USA, NA and at Deutsche Bank, AG. At Deutsche Bank, he managed securities lending professionals located in New York, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

The JPMorgan securities lending client management team in the Western Hemisphere also includes: John Gaudioso, head of financial institutions; Robert Betz, head of pension and endowments and Chris Kunkle, head of global investment managers.
