John Wiley & Sons : Wiley and JULAC Expand Open Access Agreement to Support Scholars in Hong Kong

HOBOKEN, N.J. - April24, 2024 -Wiley, one of the world's largest publishers and a global leader in research and learning, today announced that it has expanded its open accessagreement with the Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) in Hong Kong to include four more participating institutions.
The three-year agreement, which began on January 1, 2023, now includes seven total participating institutions, including: The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Lingnan Universityand The University of Hong Kong.
Under the agreement, scholars at participating institutionsgain access to Wiley's journal portfolio and researchers may publish papers open access across Wiley's portfolio of nearly 2,000hybrid and gold open accessjournals.
"It's a pleasure to expand this agreement with JULAC to include more institutions and support more scholars across Hong Kong," said Kathryn Sharples, Vice President, Open Research, Wiley.
Wiley has strong momentum in advancing open accesspartnerships, having signed more than 90 agreements around the globe, including with institutions across APAC.
